The United States has the largest and most active insect breeding community in our directory, spanning feeder insect farms, hobby invertebrate breeders, and commercial operations. Shipping is well established nationwide, though live-arrival guarantees and permitted species vary by destination state.

Australia has a passionate keeper community shaped by strict biosecurity rules. Several feeder species common overseas are prohibited, so local breeders focus on approved alternatives such as woodies, crickets, and black soldier fly larvae. State permits may apply when moving live invertebrates.

The United Kingdom permits most feeder and hobby invertebrates, with a strong network of breeders and expos. Commercial sellers should be aware of Animal Activity Licence requirements and Royal Mail rules for posting live insects.

Across Europe, rules and Dubia legality differ from country to country, and courier restrictions on live animals are the main hurdle for shipping. Local pickup and specialist couriers are common, and post-Brexit UK↔EU movement adds friction.

New Zealand has some of the strictest biosecurity controls in the world, administered by MPI. Only approved species may be imported, and the process is rigorous, so the local scene centres on species already established in the country.

Canada regulates live-insect imports through the CFIA, and winter shipping is a major consideration for live arrival across much of the country. Discoid roaches are the accepted alternative where Dubia are prohibited, and supplier coverage is thinner in the Prairies and Atlantic provinces.
