Uses a space-saving vertical-rack system, feeding kitchen waste, spent mushroom substrate and soybean residue; reported yields of ~5–7 jin of fresh larvae per gram of eggs and daily output of 5–6 tonnes, closing the loop by composting frass into organic fertiliser.
