Founded in 2011 near Toulouse, Micronutris was the first European farm dedicated to producing insects for human consumption. Breeds mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) and house crickets (Acheta domesticus) — the mealworm received EU novel-food authorisation in 2021 — and processes them under HACCP standards into protein-rich food ingredients and snacks. Production facility in Saint-Orens-de-Gameville (Occitanie).
